Fun and laughter at our Customer Summer Fayre
Our annual Customer Summer Fayre is an event that everyone here at Team NDH looks forward to and our 2024 fayre was another fantastic day.
The sun shone down as our customers arrived at The Park Community School, Barnstaple ready for a free day of fun and games for all the family. We had a variety of entertainment on offer including bingo, dancing, donkey rides, bouncy castles, face painting, panning for gold, a petting zoo, a treasure trail as well as many competitions and prize-winning games.
The Fayre offered customers and their friends and family a free day of fun whilst also offering support and advice from our partners and other exhibitors. This year the stalls included energy advice, money support services, education information, saving and loans advice and information on protecting the planet. There were also opportunities to win prizes which included a Dryrobe, vouchers for local days out, a kindle fire tablet, Fitbit, chocolate hamper and much more.
All our customers were invited to attend the free event and everyone who attended received a hot meal, ice lollies and hot and cold drinks. Free bus transport to and from the event were also laid on for those coming from further afield.
Our teams work tirelessly throughout the year to ensure the day is full of fun and activities and we are incredibly grateful to them. The event couldn’t take place without the support and contributions from our local partners and businesses and especially from our five headline sponsors. Thank you to Pearce Construction, James Electrics, Bowdens Cleaning Services, Jed Mason Plumbing and Aico.
It also couldn’t take place without our customers. 1 in 10 people in North Devon live in a North Devon Homes’ home and we would like to thank everyone who came along. We loved seeing so many smiling and happy faces and we always relish the opportunity to be with our customers in a relaxed and informal setting where we can have fun as well as have a chat. As a community landlord, we are committed to creating communities where people want to live, therefore talking with our customers helps us to understand what matters to them and how we can work better together.
We proud of our work in customer involvement and are always looking for ways to get more of our customers involved and share their views. They are the eyes and the ears in our communities and we value their insights and perspectives, which help to influence our decision making. We have recently published our Corporate Plan for 2024 – 2027 and the five priorities we are working towards have been agreed upon in partnership with our customers and our Board.
