How to report your rent increase to Universal Credit

In April 2025 you will receive a “ To do” on your Universal Credit online account asking you to confirm that your rent increased from April 2025.

You must complete this “to-do” to report your new rent charge. Your rent increase cannot be reported until 1st of April 2025.

If you do not report your rent increase you may be paid less housing costs than you are entitled too.
